Ghostwriting works when a writer (you) needs help structuring a work of fiction or non-fiction into a publishable book. You may also need help with character development and establishing stakes and tension in your creation. That is where my expertise comes in.
Also, a ghostwriter can work with you in many ways. First, I will work with you chapter by chapter doing the lion’s share of the writing. Conversely, a ghostwriter can serve a book coach who gives advice along the way while you do most of the writing.
To explain further, say you have an idea for a book about the story of your great Minnie who was a Holocaust survivor. If you have never written a book and just have a mish mash of the events in your mind, but don’t know how to begin. An experienced ghostwriter or book coach will direct your thoughts and information into a story readers can’t turn away from.
In addition, you may want to write the history of the Model T and may have some resources you want to use, but don’t know how to research. You may flounder from reputable sources and first-hand accounts that would only deepen and inform your book. I will research and write your book with your help and guidance throughout.
Equally important, as an experienced ghostwriter, I can, with illuminating and needed conversations, discern what message you want your book to have. A message of hope and redemption? A good story that will make your audience laugh or cry? A history lesson that illuminates? I will work closely with you to write the theme you desire.
Finally, you call the shots. As your ghostwriter who will probably do most of the actual writing, I will suggest, prompt, bring clarity and inspire you and your original vision. You have last call and final cut. I work for you and will render your vision completely.
