Book Coach

I will serve as a book coach to help you write and edit your work in whatever stage you are in your book.  That could be the beginning, middle or end or somewhere in-between. I will be your motivator, your editor and your number one fan.  I will help you move from one chapter to the next and tell you what works and what does not.  This relationship can last for your entire book or any part(s) you choose.  I will Zoom with you after a specific number of pages and provide a written edit.

The Writing Process: What to Expect

Everyone will have a different idea to start their book journey.  That could be a dream, a childhood memory or a cause you want to build a story around.  We will start with your concept and flesh it out.  I will incorporate all your ideas into a cogent introduction which will give the reader a “hook” and start them on your grand adventure.  Then we build tension with rising action: a group of plot points that build tension and lead inevitably to a climax and then a resolution.

We will then incorporate tense, tone, setting and characterisation.  Your novel will be like an erector set; we will build each piece carefully and thoroughly and design them in a book form that captures not only what you want to say but hooks the reader and makes them want to keep reading.  Because the latter is the primary goal, to keep your reader so engaged, they drop everything to read your book.

This process will take different time periods.  If you have 20,000 words, it may only take a couple of months at first.  This will entail meeting weekly or bimonthly.  If you have 50,000 words it may take twice that long although all authors are different.  The more words you produce, the longer it will take but keep in mind, “you” call the shots and we will do as many sessions as you can afford.

Ghostwriting Services

Hire me for all your writing needs including coaching and a full developmental edit.  I will be with you every step of the way.  I will either help you write a book or write the book you have always wanted to.  Remember, you call the shots.

I will write your fiction or non-fiction book to your specifications.  I charge 25.00 a page but am open to a chapter rate.  I have ghostwritten romances, mysteries, works of fiction, and non-fiction works.  I have also ghostwritten short stories.   I have been a professional ghostwriter for Upwork and other publications off and on for over ten years.

You may want to consider a combination approach.  I can write your entire text or work with you through Zooms and emails to “partially write” your story.  You call the shots.

For non-fiction works, your content will be well researched and expertly written.  I will ascertain your target audience and write the book you want to write optimised per your specifications.

I will ghostwrite:

• Fiction-a story you want to tell that I will embellish with readable and publishable content. The story will have believable characters, a hook to get the reader intrigued, a setting the characters can navigate, rising and falling action and tension as well as a satisfactory conclusion in the story that changes the life of the reader forever.
• Mystery-I can write hard boiled thrillers or cozy mysteries.
• Romances-I can spin a believable love story where the champagne glasses will clink complete with compelling characters that are touching, unpredictable, surprising and ultimately beautiful. Happy endings are always essential!
• Non-fiction works-direct, well-researched books that will engage the reader in the past or the present. I don’t just list facts, I will tell your story.
• Screenplays-Using any characters you choose, setting and theme, I will create a three act screen play that has tension, rising and falling action along with stakes and a recognisable arc to hook the reader.

Developmental Editor

I will edit your finished manuscript and offer advice on sentence structure, flow, arc, tense, voice, plot holes, sequences, and dialogue.  I will look at the big picture and the small picture editing prodigiously as I go with a multitude of comments in tracked changes as well as a 3-5 page written review that will contain ideas on the macro as well as micro level regarding how your book is coming across.
